Our Factory Grey 9/16" x 10' HMPE Bridle Leg with Soft Eyes (31,500 lb MBS) is a great modular addition to your recovery kit! It has soft eyes, with an oversized 1' eye on one end that enables this sling to be hitched to a vehicle recovery point or any other synthetic line-compatible connection point. 'Hitching' the eye of a sling (commonly called the 'choker' configuration) can reduce the strength of the rope, however with this sling this is countered by the fact that the extended eye, which enables a doubled-up length of the rope throughout the hitch, and so the sling retains it's original MBS when hitched. Hitching one end of a bridle leg can reduce the overall number of connectors (shackles, soft shackles, etc) required for a given recovery configuration! Two of these make a perfect bridle that easily meets the minimum recommended 3:1 reach-to-width ratio.
You can also use one of these along with any other sufficiently strong 10' sling such as a Flat Strap or Tree Saver. Also, this Bridle Leg's 31,500 lb MBS is higher than the 28,300 lb MBS of a 7/8" Kinetic Rope, allowing you to attach this rope in series with any Kinetic Rope up to 7/8" diameter in order to add 10' additional feet of reach!
