Synthetic Rope Winch Lines
ASR Synthetic Winch Lines are designed and manufactured to bring you many years of reliable, high performance vehicle recovery. They are made in the USA in an ISO 9001:2015 certified facility, and manufactured and tested in conformance with API Q1 Specification Standards. ASR Synthetic Winch Lines are made of quality HMPE (High Modulus PolyEthylene, aka UHMWPE/Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene). Other synthetic lines made with such this same family are Amsteel Blue and Dyneema. They are also coated with an extremely durable and highly pliable water/weather resistant fiber-lock coating to give them top tier UV and abrasion resistance.
Since the HMPE fibers have the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any fiber (as much as 8X higher than that of high strength steel), this means that ASR winch ropes are 85% lighter and 20-40% stronger than an equivalent steel winch cable of the same diameter. Lightweight Ropes also make for Safe Ropes. ASR Synthetic Winch Ropes carry far less kinetic energy than steel winch cables in the event of a failure. This means you and your equipment are safer with an ASR rope in use.
ASR winch lines can be made in custom colors upon request, and all feature a 100" drum warning color, typically red. They come with a stainless steel thimble and can be paired with Crosby safety sling hook. ASR's "Enhanced" Winch Line features 1" arks every 5' down the length of the line, allowing the user to clearly see winching speed.
