    • Pulley/Snatch Blocks

    Another essential piece of recovery equipment - and every wincher's friend - is the pulley or snatch block.  The pulley/snatch block can be used to safely change the direction of a winch cable or to double the pulling strength of a winch without overloading the rope itself.  

    ASR Offroad recommends the Safe-Xtract pulley block for its light weight and high strength design, and also for the fact that it was designed from the ground up for use with synthetic rope.  Other snatch blocks are suitable for use with synthetic winch lines, just be sure to properly maintain them to keep the surfaces smooth and snag-free.
